Turbine will be re-releasing their MMO Lord of the Rings Online to stores. They’re preparing a Mithril Edition of the game with bonus content including a Keyboard Map, extra quests for the Trollshaws, Eregion and everyones fave Moria, also included is a Horse Lords steed and 2000 extra Turbine Points spendable in the Online Store, aswell as the Game itself.
LOTRO is free to play with most add ons and extras relativly cheap compared to rivals. The Mithril Edition will cost around $30 although it will have a value of around $50 not bad value for money with $20 worth of extras in there. With Rise of Isen released at the end of September (Expansion Pack) there are plenty of LOTR based Games to get in that loved ones stocking for Christmas.
Another stocking filler could be War in the North which looks awesome for the lesser dedicated gamer as its more Arcade based, think Golden Axe but with a LOTR flavour. The levels look guided so there will be no getting lost in the wilderness for hours on end. Middle Earth News will be doing a full review as soon as possible.
