See the First Trailer for the Hobbit!

Get up from planking, stop looking at pictures of cats, and wait to forward that rickrolling email. Set down everything you are doing and put your life on hold because the first trailer for “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” is out!

We here at Middle-earth Network are so excited to get this first glimpse of what we will see in cinemas when the first of the two Hobbit films is released on December 14, 2012! The second movie, “The Hobbit: There and Back Again” is slated for release on December 13, 2013.

Peter Jackson’s epic adaptation of J. R. R Tolkien’s masterpiece stars Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Richard Armitage as Thorin, Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman, Evangeline Lilly as the elf Tauriel, Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug, and Andy Serkis reprising his role as Gollum.
