Announcing the Middle-earth Network Teamspeak Server! Free to all Middle-earth Network Members to use, this server is for all the Free Folk to chat and connect with your fellow Fantasy/Sci Fan Fans!
To access the Teamspeak server, you must first download the Teamspeak Client. Follow the installation instructions on their website.
Once installed, you can connect to the server using the server address:
Middle-earth Network Server : ts40.bargainvoice.com:7009
Once connected, join a channel, either the general chat (The Rabbit Room) or the LotRO Chat Room to get a Network Raid going. Into Table Top RPGS and want to DM from long distances? Check out the Table Games room. And every Friday night after The Warriors of the Westfold, hop on Teamspeak for the weekly “Beer and Popcorn” Chat!
This adds a whole new element of community to the network that goes unrivaled on all other social sites. So go try and it out and Chat with you soon!

Hi techie people, okay, so I downloaded TS, how do I find our “chatroom” if you call it that?

Open the Teamspeak program, and under the Connections menu, the first option in the drop-down should be “Connect” (or hit CTRL-S on the PC, splat-S on the Mac), this will open the Server Connect window. Enter ts40… in the Server Address, your Nickname and you should be placed in the Middle-earth Network server room.

For anyone having troubles installing or getting teamspeak to work, here’s their FAQ page: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=faq and their support forums appear fairly active so you may find answer in there, or ask me, can’t promise I’ll know what I’m talking about but I’ll make it sound legit!

After downloading the “Client” not the “Server” fp ryour system, install and open the App, in the very first menu choice at the top is “connections” click it and a window will open. Enter
ts40.bargainvoice.com:7009
in the server address field, create a user name, and that’s it. I was able to get on without a password, you will be a guest. You may have to tweek your audio system a bit in order to get your mic and headphones to work properly. If anyone has an issue with that let me know I can help you with it. I noticed that in the record area of your computer audio you can not have Stereo Mix on, it will cause and ungodly echo!
