BREAKING: Newest ‘Hobbit’ Production Video Is Here!

Peter Jackson just posted the eighth of his video diaries on his Facebook page!

Production Diary #8 features Comic-Con, a tiny glimpse of giants, and the end of principal photography. It also includes “bits and pieces” of the second Hobbit film, including Dale and Beorn’s home. Did I mention talks with some of the actors, especially Lee Pace who plays Thranduil, Barry Humphries as the Goblin King, and Sylvestor McCoy playing the spoons as Radagast! Goblin Town, Rhosgobel…Eek! There is just so much goodness.

I know, I know, you just want to watch it! For your viewing pleasure, I present THE HOBBIT, Production Video #8!

  1. *gets into time traveling Delorean – Travels to December 14 2012!

  2. I cried. Yup.

Also — is that our first glimpse of Tauriel? I don’t know the actress well enough to tell… But is such a small point compared to my overall reaction of just wanting to cry from the emotion of it.

  3. I was in tears too. Bittersweet! Can’t WAIT to see the films!

Thank you so much Peter for sharing this clip with us all. I have always been such a huge fan of your work, the Lord of the Rings movies are just magnificent and they are still my favorites to this day! As this clip played, when the music starts and I see some of it, I literally got full body chills and goosebumps! Wow, I wish that I could have been with you all on this day! It is amazing! Love you guys and can’t wait to see everyone again and to go back to Middle Earth!! Cheers and Bravo!
    Warmest regards,
    Penny Douglas

  5. The end party and speech actually made me sad… Especially the huge hug Ian McKellen gave PJ. You can see the love each cast member had for eachother.

  6. Awesomeness prevails! Thank you, Lilymilos!
