I first read The Hobbit when I was ten years old, and knew from that moment on that I wanted to become a Tolkien Scholar - maybe even going so far as to one day teaching a course or two on Tolkien. I've been a writer since childhood, continuing to write short stories, essays, and other academic pieces in my spare time.
